Accessibility Statement
Most of the people we serve are older adults, so an easy, readable, usable experience isn't an extra for us — it's the job.
What we aim for
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. That means large readable type, strong colour contrast, clear focus outlines for keyboard users, descriptive text for images, and forms that work with screen readers.
What we've done on this site
- Larger base text sizes and generous line spacing throughout.
- A “skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen reader users.
- Every page navigable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on a phone.
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who prefer less animation.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We review the site as we add pages and content, and we fix issues as we find them or as they're reported to us.
